World Wide Security specializes  in certified burglar and fire alarms systems, CCTV,  card access systems, phone systems, intercoms, home theater, multi-room audio, structured wiring and all low voltage applications. We design, install and service all equipment and related hardware chosen by our clients. We  work with your general contractor,  architect  and  all  other  participating  trades to provide  the  technical  specifications,  layout  and  engineering  details  for  the  project.

We are  members  in good standing of the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, The Better Business Bureau, The Chamber Of Commerce,  L.I. Alarm Association,  UL and CEDIA, the Custom Electronics Design  and  Installation Association, assuring you of  our commitment to  excellence in  the  design and  installation of  electronics in your home or business. 

We are approved by Ademco, Underwriters Laboratories,  X-10,  Notifier Fire Systems, Northern  Computer,  Panasonic, Home Automation, Inc., and many other selective companies. Our central monitoring station is located at our Garden City, New York  headquarters and is UL listed.  We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

ken maraKenneth F. Mara

CEO & President

Ken formed the Company in 1979, with kindergarten classmate Joe Ingegno, who has been Ken’s partner for over 30 years.  The business was started while Ken was attending Adelphi University where he later graduated with a business degree.  Ken has served on the Board of Directors of the New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and was also the very first Vice President of the Long Island Alarm Association.  He has worked with various law enforcement groups in an effort to educate police and fire officials about the security industry while helping to protect the public.   While Ken runs the business side of the Company, his partner Joe handles the operations.  He enjoys sales and marketing and has successfully completed over 20 acquisitions of smaller security companies over the last 30 years.  An avid skier, Ken also enjoys tennis, golf and platform tennis.


 

Joe IngegnoJoe Ingegno

Owner / Senior Vice President

Joe co-founded the company with his partner Ken Mara and has over 32 years experience in the security industry.  Presently as Executive Vice President, he directs all field operations and has trained and supervised many technicians over the years.  Known for his commitment to quality craftsmanship, many technicians welcome the opportunity to work alongside Joe. Appearing on Network and Cable News TV Programs, he has been asked to speak on various topics such as “How to Reduce False Alarms: and “How to choose the Right Alarm Company for Your Home or Business.”  He is also knowledgeable in the latest technology in access control, home theater and multi-room audio.  Joe enjoys being involved in the alarm industry and has conducted numerous seminars on training alarm technicians in all low voltage applications.

Chief Financial Officer

World Wide Security’s Chief Financial Officer is an experienced operational and financial executive.  Mark brings a tremendous amount of integrity, passion and energy to the Company having spent the last 10 years in different roles throughout the industry.    

Mark was most recently at iVerify where he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  During this time, he oversaw consistent year over year growth through organic and strategic acquisitions.  Mark was an integral part of the Company overseeing operational and financial activity.  He was responsible for raising approximately $25M of capital during his tenure.  Prior to joining iVerify, Mark was interim Chief Executive Officer of National Systems Integration.  Previously he was a director of Triax Capital Advisors.  Mark was responsible for managing portfolio companies through implementation of cost controls, internal business processes and weekly reporting requirements.  As a director at Triax, Mark held various senior management positions throughout the security, advertising, video integration and manufacturing industries.  Prior to joining Triax, he was the Director Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting of OnSite Access.  Mark was responsible for managing EBITDA across North America. Prior to joining OnSite Access, Mark was a senior auditor at Price Waterhouse Coopers where he obtained his CPA.  Mark graduated with honors from the University at Albany.

lou martorelloLou Martorello

VP of Sales

Lou directs all sales activities including trade shows, seminars and speaking engagements. He has sold more than 8,000 residential and commercial alarms systems and is a "hands-on" sales trainer and acknowledged expert in sales training Lou also enjoys working with the company's service and installation departments, to enhance public relations, upgrade alarm systems, improve the company image and increase professionalism of each member of our team. Lou has over 30 years of experience in the alarm industry and has been Vice President of Sales for all three companies for 25 years.


brianBrian McQuade

Brian has completed the acredited class of NYS alarm license course given by NAAA and has over 30 years of experience in the alarm industry. He has completed many courses on equipment i.e.:  Firelite, First alert, Notifier, Silent Knight.Mr. McQuade attends annual seminars to keep abreast of design and application of all the latest state of the art equipment.Brian has been employed for the past 15 years as our special projects manager. He estimates all of our bid work for customized fire systems, CCTV, card access and other low voltage projects. He works closely with the architects and engineers to insure the proper application in compliance with the codes for each system. He is apprised of all the federal, state and local life safety codes and interfaces with all the fire marshal and local agencies involved for approvals

Brian has made a significant contribution to the success of many of our projects. He is considered a long-term valuable employee and plays a major role in our continued success.


Dave YoungDave Young

Vice President - Vision Monitoring Services

Dave joined the company in 1993 as the Vice President and co-founder of Vision Monitoring Service. Dave was the manager of a very large central station on Long Island and wanted to operate his own central station. In addition to being responsible for 6,000 accounts of GC Alarm, Inc., World Wide Security and Telestat Security, Dave also manages the wholesale division, which includes another 9000 accounts.Over 100 alarm companies depend on Vision to provide them with wholesale monitoring services. Dave has over 25 years of experience in the security industry and is the former president of the Long Island Alarm Association.


Pat MaraPatricia Mara

Vice President

Pat joined the company in 1980 shortly after graduating from Hofstra University. Pat started out as the company's first secretary and grew with the firm to become the office manager. Pat left the company for 12 years to pursue a career in law enforcement with the Nassau County Police Department. Pat was promoted to the rank of detective and after she was vested with the department took early retirement. Pat rejoined the company in 1992 as Vice President and is responsible for the administrative programs with her main focus being customer retention and attrition.


Teri GeorgeTeri George Thar

Director of School Safety Service

Teri has been working with the owners of the company since the fall of 1982. Teri has held many positions including office manager and assistant to the president. Ten years ago, a seperate division for school safety was established. This division handles safety issues for schools to include fire alarms, public address systems, intrusion alarms, closed circuit television and access controls. Teri works closely with managers of school facilities and attends their monthly meetings. Our companies have become the major installers of safety systems in schools over the past several years.
